Class Attire

DRESS CODE 2019/2020

At Mayama we belive that proper dance attire helps our students arrive fully to their dance class. Clothed for movement and safety is important to us and aids in students showing up to class feeling ready and prepared. Students are required to abide by the Mayama dress code in order to participate in class. We are teaming up with Eurotard and Capezio to bring you quality products at a fair price. Please use the Mayama student codes to receive 15% off all of your purchases. Click the button below to see what is required for each class and where to purchase the items. If you want to order a different color of garment then the black and white that is shown you will need to go through the Eurotard and Capezio websites.

Ballet Levels 2 - Level 4

Below are the requirements for Ballet. We suggest purchasing all of your garments from the Eurotard or Capezio websites. This is the easiest way to become familiar with a dance brand and save on shipping cost! Many items are offered in plus and tall sizes. If your child is still growing we suggest purchasing adjustable strap leotards so you can get a longer use out of the garment.

1. Any style of SOLID colored leotard and quality dance tights (tights must be different color than leotard) OR solid colored dance shirt, (shirt must be cotton/lycra/spandex or microfiber) shirt is to be paired with form fitting SOLID colored leggings or joggers that are a different color from the shirt.
2.  Tan ballet shoes (If students already have pink or black they are allowed to wear them but Mayama is transitioning to tan and we ask that the next time you purchase shoes that you buy tan.)
3. Dance Belt (if applicable) Ages 10+
4. Hair secured in a BUN if long enough or pulled away from face and neck so that it doesn't fall out or need adjustments.
5. Warm ups/cover ups are allowed in the first ten minutes of class as long as they are form fitting.
