Dance Team Code of Conduct

Dance - Determination,  Accountability,  Noteworthy,  Character,  Entertainment 

D – Determination – Don’t Ever Give Up! Approach every step, class and performance with a goal to grow as a dancer and person. 

A – Accountability – Take responsibility for your actions. Students are expected to respect and adhere to the policies and procedures of the studio and the organizers of any performance, conference, or competition. To be responsible for your personal schedule and all items and materials needed to be a student and performer. 

N – Noteworthy – Inside and outside of the studio team members need to strive to be outstanding, remarkable and notable. Dance team members are leaders and represent Mayama. Be a good role model so that your reputation and that of the studio’s remains in the highest regard in our local community as well as the surrounding dance community.

C – Character - To be a person who represents high levels of personal integrity. Students need to find the courage and willingness to face issues and concerns with maturity and dignity. To avoid gossip, criticism, or denigrating comments for any member of the dance faculty, parent, or peers. 

E – Entertainment - You need to become the very best performer you can be. Being on dance team requires that you expect more of yourself by mastering technique, choreography and performance. Dig deep down and improve your dancing in every class every week as a way of honoring dance as a performance art.
